Tom Rossau’s lighting creations are more than just lamps—they’re handcrafted art pieces that embody the essence of Danish design. Born in Odsherred, a region known for its curvy landscapes and stunning coastal light, Tom’s inspiration is deeply rooted in the beauty of his native soil.
His flagship store and production workshop, located at Frederiksberg Allé 5, Copenhagen, offers a full experience where you can see his team skillfully creating and assembling these striking pieces by hand. The big, transparent windows make it easy to watch the process unfold, giving a behind-the-scenes look at the meticulous work that goes into each lamp. Another local spot to visit when in Copenhagen.
They also have an online shop at tomrossau.com.
The lamps at Tom Rossau’s workshop showcase his philosophy of blending geometry, materials, and light. One of our favorite pieces that we have at home is the TR22 Pendant Light, priced at 6,150 DKK. Inspired by the organic twist of the birch ribbons, this piece has a sculptural silhouette with a wide base that’s perfect over a dining table.
Available in PC-Nonwoven for a bright white light or birch veneer for a warmer atmosphere, it’s a piece that balances functionality and style beautifully.
Another standout is the TR7 Floor Light, ranging from 6,290 DKK to 8,250 DKK, and one of Tom’s earliest creations. This lamp is perfect for corners and emits indirect, cozy light through its closed shade. Its sculptural and organic shape makes it a favorite for architects and interior designers.
If you’re in Copenhagen, a visit to Tom Rossau’s store is a must for anyone who appreciates design that’s as stunning off as it is when illuminated.
