Diriyah Salwa Palace

Armani’s First Saudi Arabian Hotel With 70 Guest Rooms Blends Fashion With Heritage – Set to Open in 2026

Set to open in 2026, the upcoming Armani Hotel Diriyah marks Armani’s first foray into Saudi Arabian hospitality and one of its most architecturally significant properties to date. Nestled just a short distance from the capital Riyadh, and neighbouring the UNESCO-listed district At-Turaif in Diriyah, this boutique property promises a blend of Armani’s signature modern elegance, with the antique, earthy textures and geometric forms of Najdi architecture.

What we know about the Armani Hotel (and residences)

The hotel’s design effortlessly blends Armani’s contemporary luxury with some exquisite cultural nods, with rooms and suites echoing the region’s earthy tones and geometric forms. But the most impressive element at the Armani Hotel Diriyah is the genuinely striking “Tower of Light”. The tower forms a silhouette on Diriyah’s skyline with distinct geometric patterns that rise four stories into the sky, allowing the sun to cast evolving patterns of light and shadow into the interior as the day progresses.

The hotel will feature 70 guest rooms and suites (which have private pools) alongside an opulent collection of 18 residences, featuring large interiors that flowing into manicured terraces equipped with outdoor pools. There will be two restaurants and a spa too, all of which will overlook Diriyah.

The Armani hotel’s design will emphasize proportion, light, and quiet luxury, but filtered through a Saudi lens, with courtyards (including a main courtyard big enough to host a fashion show), traditional motifs, and contextual landscaping. Indeed, Diriyah is known for its mudbrick houses, but Armani will offset this with a striking modernism, including sleek metal portals, creating stunning contrasts with the mud walls and towering palms.

Armani’s luxury hotels and residences in Diriyah are set to open in 2026.
