Aman Rosa Alpina Italy

Classic Alpine Grandeur Reimagined by Aman Rosa Alpina

Set in the mountains of San Cassiano, the once family-run Rosa Alpina has been reborn as Aman Rosa Alpina, transforming the storied hotel into Aman’s very first Italian alpine retreat.

Redesigned by Jean‑Michel Gathy of Denniston—Aman’s longtime architectural partner, often credited with shaping the brand’s signature look—the project respects the legacy of this classic mountain property while layering in Aman’s hallmark experiential luxury.

What hasn’t changed? The unbeatable location, perfect for summer hiking and winter skiing. And, importantly, the Pizzinini family, who have managed the hotel for three generations, will continue to oversee day-to-day operations.

Rooms and Amenities at Aman Rosa Alpina

The arrival sets the tone: a dramatic double‑height lounge anchored by a custom-built bar designed for lingering, with sweeping views of the Dolomites. The spa—a centerpiece of every Aman property—features three pools (two indoors, one out), a Jacuzzi, a hammam, and treatments inspired by the surrounding mountains.

The hotel offers 50 rooms and suites, including expansive Aman Suites (an impressive 1,600 square feet) and a beautifully reimagined Chalet Zeno, offering private mountain lodging for four. Interiors are classic Aman—sleek lines, rich timber, natural stone, and large picture windows that frame the alpine landscape. Deluxe rooms and above include private outdoor terraces, while Premier rooms and above add spacious soaking tubs.

Dining and Experiences

The culinary program has been elevated with an Italian grill, a breakfast room with live cooking, a private wine library for tastings, and an intimate Japanese restaurant slated to debut in winter 2025–26. Guests will also find private cinemas, a ski lounge with heated boot racks, game rooms, and access to two private mountain cabins for wood-fired lunches.

Room prices at the Aman Rosa Alpina (click to book) begin at approximately $1400 per night, and there are various packages with inclusive treatments and experiences for stays of 3 nights or more.
