1: Pendry, Barbados

US hotel chain Pendry will open its first international resort in Barbados in 2026. To be known simply as Pendry Barbados and Pendry Residences Barbados, it will replace the Port Ferdinand Luxury Marina & Residences, which has been an exquisite, luxury holiday destination for decades.

The Pendry will invite guests to Barbados’ Diamond Coast. Guests will have a choice of 80 oceanfront rooms and suites and over 40 private residences, starting at over $2 million. The five-star resort will include a spa, fitness center, kids’ club, and access to a 111-berth marina.

Anticipating the end of 2026 for the grand opening, Michael Fuerstman, co-founder of Pendry Hotels & Resorts, said[1]: “The setting for Pendry Barbados is magical – a pristine beach, luxury marina, and lush forest intersect to create an incredibly unique environment.”

Construction on the UAE’s first Baccarat Hotel started in 2023, and the handover date of late 2026 is nearly upon us. This ultra-luxury hotel will feature 145 rooms at the heart of Dubai, comprised of twin towers designed by Studio Libeskind, adding to the Emirate’s already exceptional skyline.

Above the hotel will be exclusive branded residences, ranging from two to four bedroom furnished apartments with private gym, pool, and wine cellar.

The Grand Salon Restaurant, replete with Baccarat crystals, is also set to debut in 2026. It will be one of the grandest dining venues in the city, with high ceilings and crystal chandeliers, while the Baccarat Bar will likely become one of the top places in Dubai for sundowner cocktails.

Earmarked for a late 2026 or early 2027 opening, the Four Seasons Hotel in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, is another ambitious undertaking within the Kingdom. It is part of the country’s growing appeal to international, luxury-seeking tourists.

Just outside of Riyadh, this resort will be the first of its kind in Diriyah, considered by many to be the birthplace of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Four Seasons Hotel will seek to become the leading hotel in this UNESCO World Heritage Site as tourism numbers increase yearly in the lead-up to the Saudi-hosted FIFA World Cup in 2034.

There will be 150 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, and a wellness spa with seven treatment rooms. Diriyah is under development, but it will soon become one of Saudi Arabia’s most walkable, pedestrianized cities, and the Four Seasons Hotel will be at its center.

Jery Inzerillo, Group CEO of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), is excited by the role that the Four Seasons will play in the city[3]: “It is a delight to be partnering with Four Seasons. The Park Hyatt in Phu Quoc, Vietnam, is scheduled to open at the beginning of 2026. It is part of the group’s ambitious plans to open around 90 properties by 2030, primarily across Asia and the Pacific.

Carina Chorengel, Senior VP of Hyatt Asia Pacific, said[4]: “We are excited about offering enriching experiences that will further strengthen Hyatt’s position as a leader in luxury and lifestyle hospitality in the region.”

The new hotel will span 160 acres of land in front of a pristine white sand beach in one of Vietnam’s most-visited tourism regions. Phu Quoc is Vietnam’s largest island and a designated UNESCO site.

The project will include 100 rooms and 65 private residences, and it will be Park Hyatt’s first property in Vietnam. Two swimming pools, two restaurants, and a lakeside spa will also be featured on the property, while an on-site organic farm will supply the food for the guests.

5: Mailena, Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico

Part of the broader Danzante Bay development, Mailena will offer 96 accommodations, including suites, casitas, and one-bedroom penthouse apartments. It will star alongside the established Villa del Palmar Resort and Mantarraya, increasing Loreto’s standing as one of Mexico’s most desirable vacation spots.
