As usual, we set off on a tour of the city with local insiders. This time, photographer Olga Vyal put together a route featuring the best places in Bangkok for us.
Olga Vyal is a photographer who lives in Bangkok. She consciously chose this profession after a long career in intellectual property, and since then has been exploring light, atmosphere, and the subtle expressiveness of the moment. Her work combines portraiture, fashion, and urban stories.
It was difficult to decide right away what exactly to share. There are so many interesting places in Bangkok, Thailand — each one deserves attention in its own way, and choosing just a few was not easy. In the end, I decided to go with something personal: to imagine how I would spend a day in the city and share that itinerary.
Morning. Coffee and silence in the city center: Annie Coffee Roasters

A cozy, quiet café surrounded by greenery, located in the old part of Bangkok. The minimalist interior is combined with a warm atmosphere, but the main thing here is the taste: excellent coffee, matcha, and light desserts. Everything is simple, neat, and with attention to detail. Before you head out, I recommend trying the Iced Matcha Green Tea — invigorating, rich, and aromatic.

Day. City view and meditation: Wat Saket Ratchawora Mahawihan (Golden Mountain)

One of the oldest Buddhist temples in the city, located on top of a hill. The climb up the spiral staircase is not difficult, but comfortable shoes are recommended. From the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Bangkok, and even among the tourists, the temple itself has a special quiet atmosphere — you can stop, tune in, and meditate for a while.
Admission: 100 baht
Address: 344 Chakkraphatdi Phong Rd, Ban Bat, Pom Prap Sattru Phai
Brunch. Light, air, and sourdough: KLAIRE — Coffee & Brunch in Bangkok

A modern café with a clean visual aesthetic and a large, bright space. A great place to have breakfast and start the day. The menu includes coffee, desserts, and full brunch dishes: warm salads, poached eggs, fresh juices, and fresh sourdough bread. Our favorites are Eggs Benedict with ham and hollandaise sauce and toast with avocado, tomatoes, and feta cheese.

Afternoon art: Warehouse 30

A creative space in converted World War II warehouses located on Charoen Krung Road in the Bang Rak district. You can spend the whole day here: art galleries, workshops, showrooms, coffee shops, local designer shops, and vintage jewelry. It’s a place where you can easily lose yourself and find inspiration — it feeds both the mind and the body.

Dinner. A quiet place for yourself: sàat

A hidden restaurant with an open kitchen and understated interior. The menu is based on local flavors and seasonal produce. Here, you feel like you’re the only one who knows about this place. And that feeling is its special charm.
Address: 37 Maha Phruettharam Rd, Maha Phruettharam, Bang Rak
Sunset. Soft light, soft ice cream: Arabica Bangkok Empire Tower

A coffee shop with a panoramic view on the 55th floor of Empire Tower. Minimalist design, lots of light, and the perfect conditions for watching the sunset and taking beautiful photos. You won’t be able to have dinner here — it’s more of a place for dessert or a break. But their matcha soft cream or a scoop of ice cream after a hot day is just what you need.
Address: Level 55, EA Gallery, Empire Tower, 1 S Sathorn Rd, Yan Nawa, Sathon
