Set within a row of grand Georgian townhouses in Edinburgh’s Haymarket, The Hoxton’s Edinburgh outpost brings a refined dose of laid-back luxury to the Scottish capital. It’s the brand’s first opening in Scotland, following the original in London in 2006 to Florence in 2025, and true to the Hoxton spirit, it blends a gritty-chic character with design-forward interiors that prioritize convivial open spaces and an unstuffy attitude towards hospitality.

Rooms and Amenities at The Hoxton Edinburgh
The hotel is carved from 11 connected townhouses close to Edinburgh’s charming New Town to create a 214-room property, complete with an all-day restaurant and the Hoxton’s usual array of shared spaces. The interiors have a slightly retro feel with nods to the Georgian surrounds: velvet chairs and statement lighting, which, when viewed alongside the windows that open up to the grand architecture of Edinburgh’s Haymarket, create a seamless blend of historic charm and contemporary elegance.
The room catergories are varied, ranging from extremely small singles and bunk bed rooms, to ‘Biggy’ rooms, the largest room category. All have striking upholstered headboards in red and walk-in showers, while the larger rooms benefit from added space and king-sized beds.
On the ground floor, with its own streetside entrance and interiors accented with hot pinks and lemon, is The Hoxton’s Patatino restaurant. The restaurant offers a bold, colorful Italian trattoria experience, unique in Haymarket, recreating classic Italian pastas and indulgent desserts, with local Scottish ingredients. Try the sourdough pizza topped with haggis and nduja for a Scottish spin on an Italian classic!
Next door in the lobby, there’s a bar that serves an international menu of burgers, salads, and sandwiches. And as with all of The Hoxton’s hotels, the lobby area is open house, used as a co-working space and for remote working by guests and locals alike.
