Most of the tallest hotels in the world with rooftop bars are in Asia. You’ll find many of these panoramic drinking venues in Dubai (High Society rooftop is the newest), the quintessential locale for sky-high hotels and luxury vacationing.
Hong Kong, China, Macau, Thailand, Bahrain, Indonesia, and Cambodia are also home to city skyscrapers with rooftop bars for sundowner cocktails, fine dining, and exceptional views.
Though dwarfed by Asian monoliths, we also introduce you to the best place in North America for rooftop beers, nestled in the heart of the city that never sleeps.
So, if you like the idea of booking a city break in a hotel where you can begin each night with your favourite libation while enjoying views over the city (could be very educational), here are the tallest hotels in the world with rooftop bars that we visited and recommend.
The Lana Hotel, Dubai (New Skyline View Rooftop) – Our Favorite

Dubai’s skyline just got a new star. The Lana is already being talked about as the city’s best rooftop spot for views — with the Burj Khalifa front and center. On the top sits High Society, an elegant rooftop bar where the atmosphere blends DJ-driven energy with refined drinking and dining.
Oysters are a favorite here (six pieces for around AED 160 / $44), paired perfectly with a glass of chilled white or champagne. There’s a minimum spend of AED 200 ($54) per person for most tables, though the coveted edge seats — only three tables with unobstructed skyline views — come with a minimum spend of AED 1,000 ($272) per person. That’s easily met with a champagne bottle, which starts around €350 ($375).

Dress code is strictly enforced: no shorts, and evening attire is expected. The best time to go? After sunset, when New Dubai lights up and the view of the Burj Khalifa and the glittering towers beyond becomes unforgettable.
The Ritz-Carlton (International Commerce Center), Kowloon, Hong Kong

Hotel height | 1,588 ft |
Year Opened | 2011 |

You access the hotel via a thrilling 90-second elevator ride from street level, before checking into any luxurious suites or rooms with some of the best views in Asia. Deluxe double rooms start at HKD 3,352 ($430) per night, while harbor view suites cost up to HKD 36,162 ($4,650) nightly.
The Ozone Bar

The Ozone is officially the highest rooftop bar in the world, making it a bucket list destination for many travelers. A smart-casual dress code is strictly enforced, as is the no-children policy after 9 p.m.
